About the event
NAWIC Grand Rapids is Excited to welcome Andy Hilger, an Attorney at Hilger Hammond, to present on Top 10 Construction Contract Clauses.
This presentation will highlight some of the most important clauses in a construction contract, including explanations on the practical effects to your projects. In addition, we will highlight several real-life examples showing how those clauses can allocate risk, affect cost and schedule, and/or determine the outcome of disputes. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how careful contract drafting and review can prevent costly surprises and strengthen their position before problems arise.
Andy Hilger graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in construction management. After college, Andy worked for a West Michigan construction manager/general contractor for approximately 5 years before going to law school. His law practice focuses on construction law, including, among other things, general counsel, contract negotiation, and litigating disputes.
